Łeba for the curious

Stilo Lighthouse

The Stilo Lighthouse is a unique structure that should be a must-see on any seaside holiday. It is located 10 km east of Łeba, in the town of Osetnik. Interestingly, it was built by the Germans between 1904 and 1906. The lighthouse was constructed on a concrete and white granite foundation, assembled from prefabricated cast steel elements bolted together. This makes it one of only three such structures in the world.

Museum of the Slovinian Village in Kluki

Although the open-air museum is not a museum in the strict sense of the word, it is a living history lesson, presenting the traditional lifestyle and culture of the Slovincians, the former inhabitants of this region. The open-air museum displays the traditional houses, tools, and lifestyle of this community.

Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Built in 1683, the church was partially constructed using materials from St. Nicholas Church, which was destroyed by storms in 1558. On the outer wall is the obelisk of reconciliation – a granite boulder, 2 meters high and 1 meter wide, commemorating the residents of Łeba and surrounding villages who died during World War I. The plaque lists approximately 50 names. The church contains, among others:

Rocket Launcher - SPN

From 1940, it was a Nazi missile testing ground. Here, German scientists tested anti-aircraft and ballistic missiles. The site includes an exhibition of a surface-to-surface missile excavated 1.5 km from the SPN testing ground, buildings from the Second World War, a command bunker, a launch funnel with visible coolant channels, the foundations of the RHAINGOLD and MANHEIM REISE radar stations, and the foundations of an assembly hall used for the construction of anti-aircraft missiles.
