Łeba has long been known not only for its beautiful beaches, dunes, and atmospheric harbor, but also for events that attract tourists from around the world. One of the most colorful and spectacular is the International Kite Festival . This year, we will gather for the tenth to admire the extraordinary kite designs soaring over the Baltic Sea.

Creators and enthusiasts from Indonesia, Japan, Curaçao, Italy, Finland , and many other countries will fly to Łeba. This is a unique opportunity to see kites in various shapes in person – from fairytale characters, through dragons and butterflies, to futuristic structures that look like works of contemporary art.

The festival isn't just about a spectacle in the sky, though. It also features family workshops, concerts, entertainment, and evening flight shows with music and light . Everyone, from young children to adults, will find something for themselves.

The grand opening will be preceded by a colorful parade through the city streets and along the beach. The event begins on Friday, August 29th at 11:00 AM .

Day-by-day program

📅 Friday, August 29

• 11:00 – a colorful march through the city streets and along the beach
• 11:30 – festival opening ceremony
• 12:00–15:30 – a festival zone full of attractions
• 12:00–17:00 – kite workshops, entertainment and family games
• 14:00–16:00 – water rescue demonstrations conducted by the Łeba Volunteer Fire Department, Malczyce Volunteer Fire Department and the SAR Service – BSR Łeba

📅 Saturday, August 30

• 9:00–17:00 – festival and workshop zone
• 14:00 – concert of the Regional Song and Dance Ensemble "Ondraszek" from Szczyrk
• 20:00–22:00 – spectacular night kite flights – a combination of light, music and dance

📅 Sunday, August 31

• 9:00–15:00 – festival and workshop zone
• 14:00 – artistic performances: Ada Ropela, Seymour

Practical tips

• Beach entrance: no. 18 (beach A, near Łeba Castle)
• Recommended: hat, sunscreen and plenty of water – looking at the sky can be addictive 😉
• Workshops and activities are open to everyone, but places may be limited.
• Rescue demonstrations are conducted by professionals – please keep your distance and follow the instructions of the services.
