The program aims to support local initiatives that have a real impact on the lives of the residents of Łeba and the surrounding area. These include social, educational, environmental, cultural, sports, healthcare, and tourism projects, as well as initiatives that strengthen local community activity.
Applications for the third edition of the program began on May 11, 2026.Due to the significant interest from residents and organizations in previous years, the program's budget has been increased to PLN 350,000. "The Power of the Baltic Sea" and local activities around Łeba
The "Power of the Baltic" program was initiated by Baltic Power in 2024. Since its second edition, it has been co-organized by the ORLEN Foundation for Pomerania, which has allowed for a significant increase in the budget and scale of support.
The initiative is part of neighborly efforts related to the construction and future operation of the Baltic Power offshore wind farm and the operations and service base in Łeba. This allows the local community to benefit not only from the development of a large energy project but also from specific forms of support for initiatives important to residents.
Baltic Power - the first offshore wind farm in Poland
Baltic Power is the most advanced offshore wind farm project in Poland and the first to begin offshore installations. Once completed, the approximately 1.2 GW is expected to generate up to 4 TWh of electricity annually, which is equivalent to approximately 3% of the country's current energy demand.
The farm is located approximately 23 km from the coast, in the Choczewo and Łeba area, and covers an area of approximately 130 km². For Łeba, this means not only the presence of a significant energy investment but also the development of operational facilities and new opportunities for cooperation with the local community.
The ORLEN Foundation for Pomerania supports local communities
The ORLEN for Pomerania Foundation works to develop local communities and protect nature, especially in places where ORLEN Group companies operate.
The Foundation supports social, educational, healthcare, sports, cultural, and environmental projects. It also engages in activities that enhance the safety, social integration, and development of children, youth, and local communities.
A chance for Łeba and local ideas
The third edition of the "Power of the Baltic" is another opportunity for the residents of Łeba to receive real financial support for their good ideas. Therefore, it's worth not leaving your application until the last minute, especially if your project requires further refinement, partner gathering, or preparation of a project brief.
