Who are free mammograms for?

The test is conducted as part of the Breast Cancer Prevention Program. No referral is required, which makes participation much easier. However, please note that prior registration is required.
Why is it worth getting tested?
Mammography is one of the most important preventive tests for breast cancer. It allows for early detection of changes, often before any symptoms appear. And in prevention, time is of the essence.
Many women postpone their pregnancy test "until later"—because they don't have time, because they have other obligations, because nothing hurts, or because it seems they can wait. However, preventative care works best when performed regularly, not only when they're anxious.
That's why it's worth treating a mammogram visit in Łeba as a simple opportunity to take care of yourself. A few minutes of examination can provide peace of mind, reassurance, and—if necessary—the opportunity to react more quickly.
